How did Granite Gear manage to make a backpack this light, this cheap, and this GOOD? At 19oz and 52L capacity, this backpack has no business being sub-$250. And yet, it stands out as being durable and foolproof. It's large enough to hold all of my ~10lbs of gear inside, with no need for the exterior pouches or latches - including both my trekking poles and rolled sleeping pad. Its hip and chest straps effectively distribute weight across my back and shoulders to help with longer hikes. And best of all? This backpack somehow lasted through a 5-mile downpour with everything inside still as dry as when I packed them. I keep trying to push this pack to its limits, but thus far I simply can't. It's an amazing pack. I really, truly cannot recommend it enough. For the price and weight, there's simply nothing else that comes close.
